INTRODUCING THE 2023 RSL DESIGNER HOUSE!

BREATHING NEW LIFE INTO A HISTORIC HOME

The Richmond Symphony League is thrilled to announce our 19th Designer House - the Taylor Estate. This magnificent Italian Renaissance Revival home, located at 2325 Monument Avenue, was designed by renowned architect Duncan Lee. The Taylor Estate's main home boasts dazzling, elaborate ceilings in the public rooms, along with exquisite detailing throughout. The original garage in the rear will feature a café and boutique in its new 2023 version.

Local artists and designers will bring the 108 year old estate to life for the 2023 RSL Designer House.

The RSL will be hosting a Grand Introduction Event on Friday, September 8th to officially open the Designer House. The event will include a cocktail party, music by the Richmond Symphony, and a preview of the house. The Designer House will be open for tours from September 11th to October 9th. Thirsty Thursdays will return this year with live music, beer, wine and home tours in the evening from 5:30-7:30PM on September 14th, 21st, 28th and October 5th.

Join us for this spectacular event, where you'll have the opportunity to admire the stunning architecture, interior design, and landscaping while supporting the Richmond Symphony's important mission.

OUR  SIGNATURE FUNDRAISER

The Richmond Symphony League Designer House is our signature fundraiser. Started in 1984, the RSL has sponsored the Designer House every other year to raise money for the Richmond Symphony. For each Designer House, the RSL selects a large host home for the event and then invites local designers to compete for the opportunity to decorate one of the 20 to 30 spaces inside and outside the home, donating their time and materials. The Designer House month long event features daily general admission tours, an on-site café and a boutique where local artisans sell items like clothing, jewelry, accessories, home goods, stationery and crafts. See our Press Kit for all Designer House 2023 details.
