“Adventure is out there, you just have to find it” Ellie, Up
Can you imagine growing up in Foundry Manor where your bedroom overlooks 25 acres to explore? Inspired by the scenic grounds and grand home our goal was to create a room where the imagination of a young adventurer could come to life. Schumacher’s Tiger Palm wallpaper caught our eye and became the foundation for our design. A curated palette in varying hues of blues, botanical greens and muted golds blend seamlessly with the playful palm motif to create a timeless aesthetic. Mixing antiques and natural materials alongside modern pieces, the design offers a fresh nod to the British Colonial style. The room’s long, narrow and asymmetrical layout posed a challenge, which we addressed by incorporating a set of twin beds to create balance. Dramatic canopies above each bed were installed to embrace the angled walls and provide a striking focal point. Layers of rich textures and refined patterns highlight the new built-in bookcase. The window seat is not only inviting but feels as if you are sitting in a tree house. A centrally placed play table adds to the room’s charm, providing a place for games and discovery.
