The Game Room
The Game Room for the Richmond Designer Show House by GC Interiors is a modern, Moroccan-inspired retreat that tells the story of a well-traveled collector. Saturated jewel tones meet dark hues to create a dramatic backdrop, where textiles, objects, and art feel deeply personal and curated.

Designed for connection, the space invites intimate gatherings with close friends—sharing a drink and a game of mahjong while conversations drift from everyday moments to memories of faraway places and the anticipation of the next adventure. All set within an atmosphere of plush comfort, layered fabrics, and ambient lighting, creating a sense of quiet, transportive luxury—an escape within the home where comfort and wanderlust meet.

In our room, the walls are painted a deep aubergine, paired with light blue trim for contrast and an unexpected color story. The wallpaper introduces a distinct Moroccan influence, while fabric draped across the ceiling creates an airy, canopy effect that enhances the room’s immersive, layered feel.
