A Timeless Kitchen Upgrade

Sometimes a full gut kitchen renovation is just not in the works—but that doesn’t mean you have to live with an eye sore. We opted to paint the existing cabinets in a warm cream tone paired with a neutral marble backsplash to contrast with the dark countertops. Fixtures and hardware in unlacquered brass will age gracefully. Appliances are not hidden behind custom panels—giving a fresh, professional vibe. The cabinets were reconfigured to take advantage of the high ceilings, now streamlined with updated lighting.
The breakfast area features souvenirs from far-flung adventures: Spanish pottery, a Venetian-inspired pendant, and unique finds. Traditional furniture silhouettes and accessories in a palette of green, aqua, and plum, act as complement to the timeless nature of this kitchen upgrade that didn’t break the bank.
