INVITATION TO DESIGNERS!
We are thrilled to announce 3937 Old Gun Road West as the site of the 20th Richmond Symphony League Designer Show House. The 8,003- square-foot custom designed home on 25 scenic acres overlooking the James River in the historic Bellona Arsenal neighborhood will be open to the public from Tuesday, April 14 through Sunday, May 10, 2026, with the opening night gala Springtime Sonata, on Friday, April 10.
You’re invited to attend the 2026 RSL Designer Show House Preview
We’re beginning the process of turning this house into a showcase for the finest in Richmond interior design and invite you to participate. During the Preview, you’ll have the opportunity to tour the five-bedroom house and pick three spaces you’re interested in decorating for the show house.
Designer Show House Preview Days
Walk throughs will be scheduled on the hour.
Friday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wednesday, September 17 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Thursday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Since 1984, your collective creative vision, time and investment in the RSL Designer Show House has helped to raise several million dollars for the Richmond Symphony. We could not have done this without the design community. As a small token of our esteem, the designers chosen to participate in the 2026 Designer Show House will receive a pair of complimentary tickets to the Gala on April 10, with the option to purchase more tickets at a discounted price; as well as four complimentary tickets to the Bare Bones tours March 2 and 3, with the option to purchase more at a discounted price.
The RSL looks forward to celebrating your talent and the stunning show house you create at the opening night Gala. To ensure that you enjoy the evening, volunteers will be assigned to your rooms as docents, if you choose.
We appreciate and are grateful to all of the designers who have participated in the past. We’re looking forward to welcoming our past designers and greeting those of you considering participation for the first time at the Designer Preview.
